ALPLA acquires Boxmore Packaging

Len Engelbrecht, Günther Lehner and Christoph RiedlspergerAustrian plastic packaging provider, ALPLA recently acquired Boxmore Packaging (Boxmore). This is ALPLA’s biggest acquisition yet. Boxmore, a specialist in PET pre-forms, PET bottles and closures, is headquartered in Samrand, Johannesburg. It currently employs around 1 000 staff across nine locations.

Sorbet acquired by Long4Life

sorbet logoInvestment holding company, Long4Life has concluded a share purchase agreement, subject to certain conditions precedent, for the acquisition of the Sorbet Group. Sorbet comprises health, beauty and grooming outlets situated across South Africa and with an emerging footprint in the UK.

Rotocon expands with SA agency

The partnership with the German-based inspection technology specialist began with two E+L Smartscan systems recently installed at Spec Systems. The systems were installed on the company's new RCSI 330 Rotocon slitter rewinder machines.

Zetes becomes a subsidiary of Panasonic
